Party Night

Privacy

Party Night is a free party game you play in your browser at partynight.host. This page explains what the game stores about you and why. Questions, or want your data removed? Email partynight-support@googlegroups.com.

Playing as a guest

When you open the game, the server creates a guest profile and gives your browser a cookie that points to it. The cookie holds a random key; the server only keeps a scrambled (hashed) copy of that key. Your profile holds:

  • the nickname and outfit you pick, and any looks you save
  • your progress: XP, level, games played, challenges, crates and cosmetics
  • match results: which minigame, the nickname you played with, your placing and points
  • your wins and losses against other signed-in players ("rivals")
  • your friend code and friends, if you add any

Guest profiles that were never used (no games played and nothing changed) are deleted automatically after 14 days.

Signing in with Google

Signing in is optional; guests can play everything. Google's sign-in script is only loaded after you press Connect Google in the menu. When you sign in, Google sends the game a signed token. The server checks it with Google and then keeps only:

  • your Google account ID, a number Google uses to identify you to this game
  • your Google display name, which only you see, in your account panel

The game does not store your email address, profile photo, or any Google password or token. A sign-in lasts 30 days on each browser, and you can sign out from the menu at any time. What happens on Google's side is covered by Google's privacy policy.

Game statistics

To see how the game is doing, the server keeps simple statistics on its own database: when a profile first visited, how it found the game (a shared link's ref or utm_source, or the website it came from), whether it uses a phone, tablet or computer, its language, which minigames were played and by which nicknames, and how many people are online. These statistics contain no IP addresses and are not shared with anyone. There are no ads, no tracking cookies and no third-party analytics.

Voice chat

Voice chat is optional. Audio goes directly between the players' browsers; it never passes through the game server and is never recorded. To connect, browsers exchange network details (including IP addresses) with the other players in the room, using Google's public STUN server to find a route.

Stored in your browser

  • partyGuest cookie: keeps your profile (1 year for guests, 30 days after Google sign-in)
  • lang cookie: remembers the language you picked
  • local storage: your settings (sound, controls, camera, left-handed mode, plaza sounds) and your last nickname
  • session storage: your seat in a room, so a reload puts you back

Server

The game runs on a rented server. The game itself does not log IP addresses. The web server in front of it keeps standard access logs (which include IP addresses) for security and troubleshooting; they are deleted automatically after 14 days.

Your choices

  • Sign out of Google on a browser: Menu → Your account → Sign out on this browser.
  • Delete your data: email partynight-support@googlegroups.com with your friend code (Menu → Friends) and we delete your profile, its progress, match history, friends and any Google link.
  • Clearing your cookies disconnects a guest profile from your browser. Sign in with Google first if you want to keep your collection.

Changes

If the game starts storing something new, this page is updated first. Last updated 27 September 2026.
