Patch notes: Career Ladder, ten new minigames and parties without a board
Party Night has been live for two days, and we have not stopped. About 150 changes later there are 45 minigames instead of 34, a party works differently, the game finally has a voice, and there is a limited-time title you only get if you play before November. Here is everything that is new.
Ten new minigames

- Golden Parachute: three skydives over a city. Pull the cord as late as you dare: just above the roofs is worth up to 10 points (double on the last jump). A moment too late is a SPLAT.
- Jaywalk: carry bags of cash across six lanes of traffic. A gold bag on the median is worth 3. Anything that hits you makes you drop your bag, and anyone can pick it up.
- Carbon Copy: every few seconds the photocopier prints a see-through copy of every player, and each copy replays that player's last five seconds, forever. Touch any copy, even your own, and you lose a life.
- Deadline: the office floor scrolls down into an avalanche of paperwork. Climb through the gaps and shove rivals back down. It now also throws rolling office chairs, falling ceiling tiles, paperwork surges and the Boss at you. He only wants a minute. It is never a minute.
- Headhunters: throw a grappling hook, snag a rival and drag them home for a hire. Drag them across the shredder on the way and it counts for three.
- Cash Muncher: a coin maze. Grab a gold pellet and for five seconds you can eat your rivals.
- Pickpocket: lift coins from the back pocket of whoever is not looking. Try it from the front and you get slapped.
- Incognito: everyone looks like the same grey intern, and so do 18 actual interns. Stand on terminals to score and audit whoever looks suspicious. Pick wrong and you blow your own cover.
- Due Diligence: a bridge of tiles over the shredder, and some of the tiles are fake. Watch where the others step.
- Intern Roundup: herd wandering interns into your pen. Your whistle scatters them, and it can empty a rival's pen too.
Ed the announcer reads out all ten names, and every new game has its own signature item and win title.
Career Ladder, our first Game mode

Every kill promotes you one rung, and every rung is a different weapon: from the Rapid blaster at the bottom to the golden letter opener at the top. Reach CEO and win with a golden letter opener kill. Get stabbed with a letter opener and you are demoted.
It comes in two sizes. The 40-second version (Intern to CEO in seven rungs) is a normal minigame that can come up in any party. The full version lives behind the Game modes door in the clubhouse: 18 rungs, rounds of up to six minutes, and an office that fights back. Whiteboards, cubicle walls and office chairs roll around as moving cover, and every 20 seconds or so something happens: a power cut (you only see the pools of light around each player), a mail cart tearing down a corridor, a promotion envelope that gives a free rung to whoever grabs it first, or a printer jam that ends with a bang. When a round ends, everyone who presses Rematch plays the next one, and round wins carry over.
Goodbye party board, hello Marathon and Elimination
We retired the party board. A party is now a run of minigames back to back:
- Marathon: 5, 8 or 12 minigames, and the most party points wins.
- Elimination: the last player of each minigame is out, until one is left.
New rooms start on a Quick party: 5 minigames, about four minutes, the same as the big Play now button. The host taps the What are we playing? card to pick something else, including a single minigame or a Game mode. Between games the results now take 2.5 seconds instead of 6.
If a friend follows your invite while you are mid-party, they no longer get an error. They see which game you are on and roughly when you will be back in the lobby, press Join when they're back, and join as soon as you get there. The host sees who is waiting.
The cosmetics that only came from the board's die are retired: whoever has them keeps them, but nobody new can earn them.
Practise while you wait
Every game card and every party briefing now shows a short silent loop of the game being played, so you know what is coming. And during a party briefing you can press Practice to warm up in a throwaway copy of the next minigame. It never counts for anything, and the briefing waits up to 20 seconds for you (press I'm ready when you are).
The arcade got organised too. Game cards open with a one-line pitch, tell you who is waiting and keep Play and Play with friends in view. All minigames puts every game in one grid, with search and filters (New, Quick & silly, No shooters), and the cabinet wall no longer spins every 40 seconds: games with people waiting come first, and you flip through the rest six at a time.
Meet Ed, and music for every game
Party Night has an announcer now. Ed reads every minigame's name, counts you in, shouts GO and has opinions about the results, some of them sarcastic. Every game has its own chiptune-pop track, the menus got a warmer one, and the beeps are now proper retro arcade sound effects. The 🔊 button next to the menu has sliders for music and effects, and a Mute all.
Eight new kinds of chaos

Chaos modifiers used to be big heads, ice, speed, fog and chickens. Now there is also:
- Wind: a gust pushes everyone, and it changes direction every few seconds.
- Slow-mo finale: the last seconds play in slow motion, with the camera pushing in.
- Speed ramp: the game starts at normal speed and ends at almost double.
- Underdog boost: whoever is in last place moves 20% faster.
- Clone army: everyone looks like the same robot in the same colour. Only the name tags tell you apart.
- Spotlight: the arena goes dark and a spotlight follows the leader. Good luck, leader.
- Shuffle!: every 12 seconds everybody swaps places. Rings show where you will land.
- Hot floor: stand still for two seconds and the floor zaps you.
For streamers: let chat play too
Menu → Streaming walks you through it in four steps: your channel, chat votes, streamer mode (hides your room code on screen) and the OBS overlay. With chat votes on, your chat can now do a lot more than vote:
- Chat storms: when enough chatters type the same command, the whole room gets
!wind,!slowmo,!fogor!confetti. - Twitch Plays: one seat is driven by chat democracy (
!up,!left,!jump,!fire…). - Predictions: chat predicts the winner with
!winduring the briefing, and sees how it did afterwards. - Crowd and hype:
!cheerand!booare heard in the game, and a hype meter makes the streamer glow. - Chat's MVP at the end of a party, and in Elimination chat can
!reviveone knocked-out player, once per party.
Game by game
- Tug of War is a rhythm game now: press the arrow shown on the beat when the two drums meet. On a phone you get four arrow pads.
- Coin Rush: players are solid, so you can body-block a coin. Dash into someone and they get BONKed away. A bonk never costs coins.
- Hot Potato: the fuse timer floats above everyone, so a hat can no longer hide it.
- Paper Trail: the shredder starts later and eases in, and hopping has no cooldown.
- The chicken chaos modifier: one chicken with an outline in your colour, instead of a small chicken inside a big coloured blob.
- Aiming games get a proper crosshair at your mouse, and on phones along your aim stick.
- Find yourself: your name tag is gold with a ★, a beam of light marks where you spawn, and a ring under your feet fills up when your dash is ready.
- AZERTY keyboards: ZQSD now moves you, and the hints say ZQSD too.
Levels, crates and rewards
Levels and crates work a little differently now:
- A crate every 30 minigames (plus a welcome crate after your second one) and one every tenth level. Earning one pops up a crate you can open straight away, with a full-screen show that builds up to its rarity.
- A new top rarity, Legendary.
- Golden titles for winning 3, 5 or 10 minigames in a row against other people: Hat Trick, High Five and Perfect Ten. Games against only bots do not count.
- Shard deals: four items a day that you can unlock early with shards.
- Your first daily challenge swap each day is free.
- Level badges next to every name, from bronze at level 10 to a prismatic gem at 100, and a player card with someone's stats when you tap them.
- The Outfit screen works like a game locker: click an item to wear it, Undo if you change your mind, and save whole outfits.
- The new default look is the robot, Tin trouble. The Classic bean is still free if you miss it.
Pets are rare now
Pets are meant to be special, so none of them is free any more. The Pocket bird is the level 25 reward (together with the Confetti coat), the Feast frog and Repo drone take 30 wins of Snake Feast and Repo Men, and the Party pup waits at level 100. The Chaos chicken, Sidekick cat and Rubber ducky are in the shop. If you were wearing one of these pets when this update went live, it is yours to keep.
OG Partygoer: only until 31 October

Everyone who finishes a minigame before 1 November 2026 gets the OG Partygoer title and the Founder's party hat, in a gold finish that drifts through party colours and that nothing else in the game has. After that nobody new can earn them, ever. Already played? Then you have them: look in your Outfit. Not yet? One minigame is all it takes.
The Confetti shop
There is now an optional shop. It sells cosmetics only: nothing in it changes how you play, and crates are never sold.
- Confetti is the currency: 100 Confetti is €1, and packs start at 500 (plus a one-time starter pack). You need a signed-in account to buy, and you can pay with iDEAL, a card or a wallet.
- Bundles (like Full RGB or Dragon rider) cost about a third less, and you only pay for what you do not own yet.
- The fitting room lets you try on shop items over your own outfit before you buy anything.
- 14 new weapons with their own shapes, from the Foam fury dart gun and the Bubble trouble blaster to the Rubber chicken, the Sushi slicer and the Grim sweeper.
- In eight countries outside the EU (Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Chile, India, Indonesia, the Philippines and South Africa) Confetti packs cost less, in the local currency. Prices in the EU are the same everywhere.
The terms cover the details, including refunds of unused Confetti within 14 days.
Safer for younger players
- Report player: from a player card (🚩) or from a name in the chat. Reports go to our moderators with the recent chat attached.
- Names that the chat would block are refused as player and room names.
- Hits and knock-outs pop confetti by default. If you prefer the cartoon splats, switch them back on under Menu → Settings → More.
- The Party Night team wears ADMIN and MOD badges, and names that pretend to be staff are refused.
Phones: full screen, sideways
Party Night plays best on a phone in full screen and sideways, so there is now a ⛶ button that does both in one tap (on iPhone we explain how to add it to your home screen instead). Play now sits by your thumbs and folds away when you want to look around, the top bar is slimmer with proper touch targets, arena hints say TAP instead of SPACE, and your taps reach the server straight away.
Friends, Discord and the menu
- Friend invites work wherever you are, and pop up with Join or Not now. You can share a friend link too.
- The Menu has three pages: Settings, Friends and Streaming.
- Discord: Party Night has its own server. Find the Join our Discord button in the clubhouse or on the Friends page, link your Discord account (or sign in with it), and look out for Confetti giveaways, party voice channels and people looking for a group.
Thanks for playing, for voting 👍 and 👎 after every minigame, and for telling us what felt off. If you missed launch day, the launch day patch notes cover the first round of changes.
